Ethelonter V was fun!
and Acacia rocks! =D
though we were all shagged & dog-tired,
it was really an enjoyable & memorable experience!
I'm glad I din make e wrong decision to go for it,
coz I've made alot of new frens there.. =D
anw, I shall do some random super short description of e daily schedule each day.. 5 days is too long to blog abt! haha... plus I really do have a poor memory! =X
Day 1
met up in our groups @ Clementi MRT station.. my group is Acacia! =D travelled to NUS by bus after everyone reached.. had registration.. den ice-breakers games time! was brought to our rooms & changed into unwanted clothes.. we had a single room at Temasek Hall each.. den it was internal hunt after lunch.. ran around e whole of NUS for station games.. e purpose of internal hunt is to run around e sch & get to know our way around.. =D super tiring! after dinner, it was time for SP(Secret Pal).. we were blindfolded & given a nickname each in order not to reveal our real identities while chatting.. rite after SP, it was mysterious journey! was brought around blindfolded & played station games in our own group.. everyone was starchy after e whole thing! wrote SP postcard, went to bath & sleeping time!
Day 2
woke up early & had breakfast.. den it was external hunt! kind of like amazing race.. went outside NUS to visit 3 of e RVPs tt NUS is involved in.. it was quite insightful & meaningful coz we learnt to know more abt wad each RVP is.. during e trip, we were supposed to complete a list of tasks, and it was quite hilarious to do some of them! haha..
and yea, 1 of e tasks was to 1 OG girl to take photo wif a school boy.. so I approached tis super cute small-sized boy after boarding e bus to our next venue.. when I asked him if I could take photos wif him, he was like, "shui bian.." haha... and we talked to him e whole way until he alighted la.. so cute! and he said tt eugene looks like a 怪叔叔! haha!!! and guess wad! he's actually pri6 can! but he's so small-sized I thot he's in lower pri only!
anw, our last station was tis elderly place & we were split into groups to visit different elderly living in 1-room flats alone.. my group went to visit tis old Hakka-speaking uncle & he was so happy to see us.. geraldine was talking to him most of e time while we listened to them.
after tt, we went back to sch & rest awhile b4 dinner.. den we had our SP time again.. tis time we were playing games wif our SP wif our hands tied together.. and of coz wif our eyes blindfolded too.. had tis super awful drink mixed together la.. eeyer! den we went to disturb e couple sitting beside us instead of talking to each other.. haha..
after SP, it was Cluedo Nite! went around Temasek hall talking to suspects & find clues.. e "suspects" were really great in their acting! some was so funny.. lol... anw, we were super confused abt wad's e conclusion, and we din have enuff time to question some suspects.. but we managed to get a final solution la.. den they acted out e final scene & we get to go back..
when we got back, we wrote our SP postcard, went to bath, den think abt our Talentime item.. went to bed like super late..
Day 3
woke up, wash up & breakfast time.. den we proceeded to west coast park for mass games! we were going to play station games in a different group, so tt we could get to know ppl from other groups too.. I was in e Coke(red) group..
guess wad?? it was super coincidental la.. everyone had alr got into their own groups when we came back from e toilet. so we ran back to find our groups.. I slipped myself into e circle & realized they had finished intro-ing.. so they repeated introduction again.. den we were confirming one another's names.. I was so blur tt I actually asked e guy beside me wad's his name again.. den he said, "so u know who I am le rite?" it was at tt point den I got it! so I went, "oh ya! I know! I know!" how did I know?? coz he's my SP! hahaha.. his voice was distinctive.. and we were even paired up by chance for icebreaker too! haha..
anw, got to know new ppl outside my own group & e station games were really fun.. we got super wet & dirty.. e final station was really mad wif all 6 teams water-bombing one another! and we got really soaked! got really crazy when e councillors vs freshies wif water-bombs! haha...
after all those madness, we walked back to sch & washed up abit.. den we had faculty talk given by councillors gathered in our own faculty groups while having lunch.. CSC talk.. den it was free time, so we went to have a quick shower b4 continuing to prepare for our Talentime time..
den it was SP time again.. talked to our own SPs.. so there was no more suspense for e both of us.. haha.. and we were talking abt mass games & some random stuff.. haha.. after SP talk, we were paired up wif other ppl's SP & learnt e dance.. my partner was e only malay guy in e whole camp, and he's super enthu! haha.. dinner time.. we were given tix to movie date..
so after dinner, we proceeded to I-forgot-which-building.. coz it was still early, so we had some time to practise for Talentime again.. den we went into e LT to watch movie.. e movie was kind of touching.. when e movie ended, we realized e ppl behind us were half gone! we had a break b4 they showed us e 2nd movie.. but I couldn't tahan & slept.. was woken up halfway thru e movie & we were brought out wif another pair to do a quiz..
den we were told to proceed for a "romantic" walk.. yep, e 4 of us.. anw, e guy in e other pair was "talking pillar"(aka chia jin/jia jin).. so we walked down a road while reading a story on e way.. at e end of e road, some1 drove us down & we were told we would be given dessert & it would be over.. but tt was not e truth! we were brought to tis so-called romantic "cafe" & told to enjoy a video b4 having our dessert.. den we saw some suspicious ghostly 1-sec scene flashing near e end of e video.. tt was when e scary but real part of e walk really began! we were wary & put on our guard b4 opening e door to get out.. I held hands wif e other girl while walking together.. it was super scary.. we followed e instructions & trailed along e path indicated by small green lightsticks on e road..
e 1st house was e most scary! e ghost mum & e 2 daughters de.. e "mum" thot jia jin was my partner & told us to go upstairs.. and jia jin was so daring! he kept hitting e newspaper walls while I was grabbing his sleeves & following behind all e time.. and e "mum" was like yelling at him to stop hitting e "walls" behind me! and dave really frightened me by suddenly grabbing my legs from under e table when we get out(we got to know it's him after e whole thing)..
e 2nd house was e "jian ren" de & e last one was e bro-sis de.. e teddy bear is kind of gooey la.. eeyer.. but they were still alrite as compare to e 1st one.. after tt, we were brought back to e sci building & walked a long way to find e rest.. rested for awhile & continued our Talentime while waiting 4 e rest to come back.. after tt, we walked back to Temasek Hall & wrote our SP postcard.. den continued to finalise all our steps 4 Talentime.. went to bed at like 4pm..
Day 4
woke up at 7am & wash up..check out of our room & bring our bags to e dining hall.. breakfast time & time for our trip to sentosa.. slept on e bus all e way.. was super shagged by tis time la.. after we settled down at palawan beach, we began our sentosa games! it was really fun seeing everyone get sandy & wet.. but I din join in any games tt involved getting wet in e sea la.. it's a girl thing.. =X so terribly sorry couldn't run in e finale like everyone.. but I hoped e rest had fun! =D
after finale, everyone went to wash up.. den we prepared & board e bus for our trip to coasta sands pasir ris.. settled down in e chalet & gathered.. den it was time for SP revelation.. we were told tt our own SP r in our own SP group, so we were supposed to ask for one another's nickname to find ur own SP.. but since we knew.. haha... found our spot on e grass area & sat down to chat.. tis time was finally not blindfolded la.. haha.. exchanged our gifts.. den had buffet dinner together.. continued to talk until it was time to proceed to e function room..
on e way, we had to find our SP photo & write a last msg for each other.. I told yijun to just sign enuff.. haha... coz he wrote alot on all his previous postcards! I finally wrote more than him! haha! coz I wrote 2008 on his photo too! ok, I'm so lame.. den e guys were given a rose on e way b4 we finally went to e function room.. waited for e rest.. den we danced e dance we learnt e day b4 wif our own SP tis time..
after tt, it was talentime! had some time to practise b4 our real performance.. when it was our time to perform, it was funny! coz xinyi kicked away her slippers at e beginning of e dance after it started.. den I kicked my slippers away too in e middle of e dance, coz 1 of my slippers spoiled at tt time.. but we did complete our dance finally! we did great! coz e time we used to prepare was really rushed.. dun care if other groups performed better! haha..
after tt, we had our pageant! our group had superman & mulan! =D they played twister & we had some tasks to complete, in our groups.. den it was high time! we were all so high while singing to super high songs & ran around in e room.. lightsticks & balloons..
after everything ended, we proceeded back to our chalet to end e day.. but most groups just sat outside e chalet to chat.. it was gabriel's b'day, so our group celebrated his b'day.. and he got "caked"! haha... den some groups went to e mac for supper, but our group ordered mac delivery.. juz sat there & talk.. some of them was really tired out, & they went to sleep while e rest still continue talking outside.. den we played "stock market" until we got warned by a security guard to lower our volume.. he was super lo-so la! went out for a walk & proceeded back again.. was super tired when we came back & I went to sleep on e floor.. I think it was 5am by den..
Day 5
woke up at 8am.. super shagged already.. slacked in e chalet during breakfast time.. den we proceeded to outside e chalet for prize-giving.. did our last group cheer & den it was time for prize-giving.. best SP letter, best SP, best group, and best freshie.. xinyi's our group's best freshie! hehe... she got to take home our group flag.. haha.. den had some photo-taking & went back to our chalet to fill up our feedback form..
den it was time to go home.. a few of us went home & e rest went to New York New York @ downtown east for lunch.. after lunch, it was truly home sweet home!
though we din win e best group, but I still love Acacia as much! =D I think our bonding is real great in e 5 short days we spent together! shall miss everyone! =D
